At Little Paisley People, we weave sunny childhood memories into hand-block-printed clothing for children. We take care with our craft, combining tradition with those familial bonds to bring something special to your little one’s wardrobe. Playful with a touch of elegance, our handmade kids' clothes invite you to explore a world of unique charm.
Mitali was inspired to create Little Paisley People by her memories of long summers spent in her grandmother's village in Gujarat, India. They were sun-soaked days spent playing in mango orchards, sketching on the shaded verandah, and reading books on the ancient swing.
We blend those memories with ancestral techniques to re-create the days gone by.
Every one of our clothes threads together our three core values: childhood nostalgia, artisan processes, and the mother-daughter bond. Each is connected; the handmade character of our clothes add an elegant playfulness that matches giddy childhood memories. The family bond is seen in the quality of our clothes, where craft and knowledge received to be passed on, ever stronger through tradition.
We paint and sketch each design by hand, inspired by the vibrant childhood memories of life in India. Then, our artisans hand-carve each design into teak wood blocks and begin the traditional block printing process.
Our craftspeople print one color at a time to create beautiful handmade girls' clothing, putting care into each detail to offer a special piece as unique as your little one.
